About ESI

Education is a lasting investment in people.

Education Support Initiative is a Taraba State non-profit investing in education and humanitarian support for vulnerable people.

Our story

ESI began on 26 November 2009, when three friends resolved to create a continuing charitable fund to support the education of orphans and children of low-income families. The initiative grew through community contributions and was formally registered with Nigeria’s Corporate Affairs Commission on 23 February 2011.

From supporting a small first group of learners, ESI has gone on to support well over one hundred beneficiaries from primary school through university. As the work grew, members also approved support for people with urgent medical needs, widows and others facing hardship.
